The Wool Coat

‘Tis the Season for fluffy wool coats and I just bought mine. When it starts getting colder, you really have to invest in a good coat which will keep you warm, look stylish and fit over all your thick sweaters below! One of my biggest tips is to go for a jacket at least a size above your normal size. I really like bunching up the layers and feel coats should always look a bit more oversized than tight. Another really important crucial point, the color. Dark winter days should have to be filled with even darker coats. Sure, I have my fair share of black coats, but I really like to try and wear a different color coat at least every second or third day. This leaves you flexible and in a much better mood psychologically. A camel or beige coat leaves you open to wearing warm and nude tones and makes you look so put together, this is why this has got to be my favourite color of them all. Last but not least, if you are opting for a longer wool coat, especially if you are like me, not blessed in the height department, opt for a coat which you can belt and try to wear nice over the knee boots. My coat cinches in at the waist (without loops for a belt) but I feel I can throw in a night waist belt if I felt a little extra. The boots elongate your frame making this look more elegant chic for your daily life. Underneath I opted for a simple black long sleeved flowy dress and a camel burberry scarf. A black bag will finish this look off perfectly. What is your favourite type of coat? Tell me in the comments below!
